Have a few one liners ready for people you are not ready to share this with.
It's complicated, I really rather not get in to this now (maybe some other time).
Out of respect for him, I'll just say we had some irreconcilable differences.
I don't want to spoil the fun, lets save that for another time.
Everything happens for a reason.

I am a divorced woman and I need advice about how to answer questions about the reason for my divorce. Our foster child accused my ex-husband of inappropriate behavior to which he pled no contest while claiming that he did nothing wrong. I believed that if he did not do anything wrong he should have made such statement and not copped a plea for convenience. This event contributed heavily to our decision to divorce. I feel uncomfortable about lying and I would like some advice on how to honestly and tactfully answer this question.
